We work to make a difference by focusing on glass packaging – which is 100% endlessly recyclable.
We achieve this difference by:
- •Planning glass productions at factories that include more recycled glass cullet than ever in the manufacturing process.
- •Increasing our inventory of ECO bottles, which are up to 40% lighter than30 years ago
- •Stocking over 75 light-weighted bottles that use less energy and raw materials to produce.
We are working to reducing our Carbon Footprint by:
- •Ordering the vast majority of our products from the United States
- •Coordinating our shipments from Europe to maximize cargo space, reducing the number of times the ships travel across the ocean.
- •Coordinating our local and long haul deliveries thus reducing the number of trucks traveling the highways as well as the hours spent on the road.
- •We coordinate deliveries to reduce the amount of time a truck is on the road- reducing fuel emissions and energy consumption.
- •Light weighted loads can contain an extra 2 pallets per truck or require less fuel for the same number of pallets!
- •Replacing trucks in our fleet with the most fuel efficient models available
We also follow meaningful practices with accessory packaging materials we utilize by:
- •Purchasing recyclable corrugated and partitions made with recycled content
- •Recycling all of our out dated, over aged and damaged glass and corrugated.
- •Recycling all of our plastic shrink wrap materials.
